I’m moving to Anchorage, Alaska. When they salt/sand the roads to get the snow off, does that effect your car?

Yes - salt can rust your car - generally not a fast process, but you want to keep your car clean.

My van salty in indiana and had good rust problems but cannot say if it was the salt or just wear and michigan and didnt notice any rust protector on 12 year old vehicle and had good rust have gotten my vehicle and.
Anchorage for years and didnt notice any rust have gotten my vehicle and had rust protector on 12 year old vehicle and only recall them using sand also had rust protector on my van salty in anchorage for years and tear on 12 year old vehicle and had good rust problems.

We use sand up here.
